CSRD is short for Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive

What?

A new EU directive requiring companies to provide information about their impact on the environment, society, and how they manage risks and opportunities (known as ESG – Environmental, Social, and Governance).

Why?

Increased transparency and comparability of sustainability performance of companies operating in EU space.

How?

Hotels must report on 10 key ESG topics under the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), which involve over 1,100 potential data points.

However, a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) is essential to determine which topics and data points are relevant for reporting.
